I have done this over again mostly because the original effort had too much spoiler content. This time there are no Epilogue characters or locations. Photos do feature animal encounters and locations from all over the map accessible before the Epilogue. The originals were taken on a PS4 slim at 1920 x 1080. You can get a larger view of the individual post photos by clicking on or touching them.
Posts are organized by the chapter horses normally unlock at stables or otherwise spawn. It is possible to encounter many of these horses with NPCs, at camps and during random encounters and missions. Some are easier to acquire than others. There's many You Tube videos on the topic. My favourite channels are superantonio, James Wilson RDR2 and Brindle Bucker.
I've ranked them by their overall stats but when stat totals are equal I have ranked health > stamina > speed > order acquired. Race horses don't always have high health and stamina but they've been ranked a little higher because they all have racing handling rather than standard. I separated the Epilogue horses out and gave them individual pages rather than labelled posts because some are a bit spoilerish themselves. The original project organized horses by class. I've kept the index and pages up but they will spoil a major plot line if you haven't played the game.
Browsing by label is only available on desktop due to how page redirects work on mobile. I haven't been able to come up with a fix yet. Labels only return pre Epilogue horses.
