Riding Horses-Part 3

Horses featured are available in Story mode only and are sorted first for availability and then statistics.

  

All Riding Class horses have standard handling. The Tennessee Walker's best attributes are Health and Stamina, the Kentucky Saddler's are Health and Speed and the Morgan's are Stamina and Speed. All but one are available early game. It's the most common class used by NPCs.

What does Rabicano mean? Don't know but very cute horse.

OK, so I looked up Rabicano on Wikipedia and it means a limited roan pattern that's not spread out over the entire coat. That's what I got from it anyway. I got an object lesson on the benefits of the Stamina attribute from this little character. We were pursuing him on a Superior horse but we could never quite close the gap on him until he ran into trouble. I think he was definitely losing steam but he started going in circles on the grounds of Scarlett Meadows Stable and we nearly caught him. He ran into a nearby tree stand and lost us there. I don't think he did it on purpose but I couldn't help but think, "Clever little horse." I'm pretty sure out in open space he would have been caught eventually. I liked the photo so much that I didn't bother looking for another one.

Health 2, Stamina 3, Speed 3, Acceleration 2.

The Morgans are next on the ranking list with a value of 55 dollars. We didn't have this one for very long and just rode it to the nearest stable.

Little Morgans are strong.

Flaxen Chestnut Morgan. Acquired: Mission. Availability: Spawns in the wild. Unnamed.

Health 2, Stamina 3, Speed 3, Acceleration 2.

The favourite of outlaws and Pinkertons everywhere, this Morgan is easily acquired in the wild or just about anywhere else.

These guys often get a second look from me under saddle. This girl was the second horse acquired for Horseman Challenge 10.
